About Wuling
Wuling is an automotive brand established through a joint venture between SAIC Motor Corporation, General Motors, and Guangxi Automobile Group, holding a strong leading position both in China and internationally.
Founded on November 18, 2002, SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) has been the market leader in China's commercial vehicle segment for over 20 years. The company successfully entered the passenger vehicle market with its new generation Wuling Global Silver models. In 2024, SGMW sold over 1.5 million vehicles globally, with Wuling remaining General Motors’ best-selling brand in China.
On January 5, 2025, SGMW celebrated the production of its 30 millionth vehicle, becoming the first Chinese automaker to reach this milestone. This historic vehicle was a fully electric white Wuling Starlight S, built at the Lean Intelligent Manufacturing (LIM) plant in Liuzhou.
